Danish architects Cubo have recently completed an artist’s residence that will function as an open-door workshop and exhibition space, whilst offering free accommodation to artists for a week or two at a time. Clad in sustainable Kebony wood, this unique ‘Artist’s House’ overlooks the picturesque port of Tyskerhavn in the Danish town of Hvide Sande.
Henning Davidsen, Project Leader at Feriepartner commented: ‘It is really exciting to have completed this project and to see the first artists moving into the new house. The community has responded incredibly well, welcoming the artists and taking a great interest in their work. The house looks fantastic and the eco-friendly Kebony wood weathers so naturally, it really looks like an established part of this community complementing this beautiful landscape.’
