The purpose of the renovation of the Belle Épine center close to Paris was to give a lift to the aging image the shopping mall to make it more attractive and pleasant to its users. To harmonize the different volumes of the building, the facades were repainted in beige before being covered with a second skin made of Kebony character cladding.
The panels are composed of vertical and horizontal elements randomly distributed. This provides an additional dynamism and peculiarity to the main facade while recalling other facades. The wooden clapboard were tailored made to be placed one by one directly on the metal structure.
