Kebony is a highly durable, sustainable wood with the aesthetics and performance of the best tropical hardwoods. It requires minimum maintenance and brings low life-cycle costs.

Wood species used for the wood modification process are typically sustainably sourced, non-durable softwood species (e.g., pines), which all have a natural light colour. The Kebony® technology gives the wood a deep, rich brown colour, comparable to the look of tropical hardwoods. After exposure to sun and rain, the wood naturally develops a silver-grey patina, while maintaining its high-performance properties. The original colour can be maintained using UV protection oils.

Kebony is available in clear and character grade. Clear has a smooth and even look, while character contains the knots of the branches. Choosing between those two variants is often a matter of personal taste and preference.
