This "Stone House" or "steinboligen" mountain cabin in Finse, Norway is located in a rather remote area of the country. Due to the harsh weather conditions, there is only a time window of 2-3 months when it is possible to combine logistics with an acceptable climate for outdoor work.

The original building was partially demolished in 2009. In 2010 it was rebuilt in modern architecture by Alliance Architects in collaboration with Snøhetta and Petter Hagelund. Kebony character cladding was chosen due to its durability even in the harshest Nordic climate.
