Located in the car free town of Braunwald, Canton Glarus, 1300 metres high in the Swiss mountains, lies the charming Märchenhotel Bellevue (German for "Fairy Tale Hotel"). The hotel’s infinity pool, which commands a view of the nearby funicular and the Glarus Alps mountainous scenery, is situated on the 160m² terrace, decked with Kebony clear wood.

Kebony’s accurately named ‘comfort profile’ wood, which has a slight curvature in the surface, is ideal for walking bare-foot across the terrace. It does not get too hot in summer time and does not splinter. Over time the wood will acquire a natural silver patina as it reacts with the elements, but this will not compromise on its extraordinary performance.
