Is it safe to use Kebony?

Yes, it is as safe as any untreated wooden cladding. The chemicals we add to the wood do not increase the flammability of the material. Kebony, thus, needs to be treated like other wood cladding products. As with all cladding made of wood, where risk assessments show specific hazards of flame spread in facades, wooden claddings with fire class D, should not be used, only fire retarded wood products with fire class B will be specified in such constructions.
