- Clean the terrace on an overcast or rainy day
- Water the terrace thoroughly with a garden hose or sprinkler
- Divide the terrace into smaller sections and clean zone by zone
- Use a deck brush with a handle or a terrace cleaner
- A high-pressure washer must NOT be used
- Use a mild wood/deck cleaner and mold remover
- Rinse thoroughly after cleaning
- If there is a lot of green growth or black mold, the terrace can be cleaned with diluted bleach. Mixing ratio 1:10. Be careful and test on smaller areas.
- Loose wood fibers may occur if the terrace has been exposed to moisture for a long period – clean them off in the same way.
- The terrace will change color after cleaning, but the silver-grey patina will return with exposure to sun and rain.
